Avenir LNG Limited announces launch of Avenir Ascension

Avenir LNG Limited announces the launching of its fourth 7,500 cbm dual-purpose, liquefied natural gas supply and bunkering vessel, Avenir Ascension from Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co. 

Avenir Ascension was launched at 6am on June 09, 2021 at Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard Co. Ltd. Due for delivery from CIMC SOE in the 4th quarter of this year. Ascension will be Maltese flagged and the 4th 7,500 cbm newbuild delivered to Avenir LNG. Avenir’s first newbuild delivery (the Avenir Advantage) took place in October 2020 and was followed by the Avenir Accolade in March 2021.
